Wildcard Round Picks - Where they're supposed to be

How should we feel about the Packers’ playoff appearance?

I’m not sure, but I’m certainly not going to base my feelings for this weekend’s game on the outcome alone. (I lied right there. I’m totally going to. But maybe I shouldn’t.)

I’m making this stoic and well-reasoned statement based on one of my deepest and truest passions when it comes to doing Packers’ content: team life cycles. Regardless of how close the Packers played the big boys of the NFC this year, regardless of the fact that they lost to all of them, regardless of how well or poorly they play this weekend, it’s undeniably true that the Packers are very early into the Jordan Love era.

If you were to use software development terms very imprecisely (and I will), you’d probably say this year is probably just the beta release of the Jordan Love-era Packers. Last year was the first working release, this is open beta, and then next year should be the full-release version. The Jordan Love’s Packers version 1.0, if you will.
